BIRTHDAY POEMS
Candles on a Cake
Five little candles on a birthday cake,
Each one shining brightly, "See the light we make!"
____________ blew (whoooo) one candle out, counting 1 & 2 & 3 & 4,
Saying, "Please, oh please, let me blow once more!"
____________ blew and blew, and one more light went out.
And then there were just 1 & 2.
Two tiny candles burning, "This is fun!"
____________ blew again and then there was 1.
____________ took one last, loud blow: (Whooooo)
And then there were none!
Happy Birthday
Today is ___________ birthday,
He'll/she'll have a birthday cake (extend arms in a circle)
We'll mix the flour and sugar (stirring motion)
With milk and then we'll bake the cake inside the oven
(Extend hands as "carrying" cake)
And watch it rise and rise (lift hand)
And when the oven's open (motion of pulling oven door down)
He'll/she'll have a big surprise...
A cake that's light and fluffy
And wears an icing blue,
And everyone will join to sing
"Happy Birthday _________________ to you!"

To use birthday chair covers, print original version (click thumbnails) on cardstock. Cut out.
Cut 2 more strips from cardstock to attach from cover to chair.

To use birthday certificates, print original version (click thumbnails) on cardstock.
BIRTHDAY CROWNS
To use birthday crowns, print original version (click thumbnails) on cardstock. Cut out. Add other
cardstock strips to each side to go around head.
