DATE-NUT CAKE

2 lbs. pecans
2 pkg. dates
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
vanilla flavoring

Put chopped nuts and dates in bowl. Sift flour, baking powder and sugar over them. Beat eggs separately, then together. Add to mixture. Bake in pan about 1inch deep at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
