BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE

3 sticks butter or margarine
1 lb. brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 cup nuts
1 teaspooon vanilla

Cream butter, brown and white sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk into the creamed mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Take cake from pan in 10 minutes.

Frosting:

6 tablespoons evaporated milk
2 cups brown sugar
1 stick margarine

Bring to a boil and count to 60!
