I miss you dad. You were only 17 years old when you went in the Navy to fight for our country. You never got to finish high school. I know you were looking down Monday when your grandson, Ben, went up and recieved your high school diploma that you deserved. I don't think any other 13 year old would have done that for their pappaw. But Ben really looked up to you and he has learned alot from you. I know your at Home with the Lord and someday our Family Circle will not be broken.

My Pap Sisk died before I was born but my Gram and Mommy have told me stories about him and we have got a lot of his service records and navy things out of his chest in the attic and gone through it. There is some very interesting things. He was in the amphbious force. Gram says that means he fought on land and in the water. I am proud that he is part of helping me to have freedom today! Thank you Pappy Sisk

Dad served in the US Navy for 21 years. He was very proud to serve his country. During the war, the ship he was on was destroyed, but thankfully he was one of the few who survived. He was a wonderful Dad who worked hard to support his family. I miss him.

My dad didn't say much about his war experience while we were growing up. He worked hard, provided for his family and moved on with life. It has only been as his health has declined that he has talked about it to us. I now understand some of the periods of melancholy and sadness that would overtake him. I don't think I could have functioned as well had I witnessed and experienced some of the things he did. I am proud of his sacrifice but saddened that I didn't know and understand earlier. To all of you who remember and continue on for your children's sake - I salute you!

My father was a truly good man who came to know the Lord before he passed away last Oct.11th. He was a fine husband of 45 years and the father of 4 children, Grandfather of 12 and Great- Grandfather of 3. What a wonderful thing it is to know how very important he was as a enlisted man in the United States Navy. He has made us so very PROUD!!!!!!!!!
