Cowgirl - Wear dark blue jeans or a denim skirt with a white strappy top.
Wear a dark denim jacket or vest over it. Also wear a bandana around the neck.
Wear a brown or black boots with heels and a belt. Decorate face by wearing bright
red lipstick and some freckles. Also wear bright eyeshadow and lots of mascara.
Put hair in pigtails or in braided pigtails. Wear a cowgirl hat. Also if wearing a skirt,

Spilt Spaghetti - my 2yr won first place- red sweatsuit (top&pants), a cheap collander
from $ store and cream colored yarn. Tie strips of yarn all through the colander and

Oscar the Grouch - A garbage can with 2 straps, no bottom in it, slip it on and adjust
the straps to fit you ( you could use rope). Put a rope on the lid so you can wear it as a

Person taking Shower - This can also be a shower and the costume goes like this.
You wear a shower cap and a pair of sweats pants that are rolled up and a towel- you cover the
garbage can with a white garbage bag. add a white pipe and hanger (wire hanger) tape the
hanger on the pipe after you stretch it into the shape of a circle. Place a shower curtian
cut to just below the middle of the garbage can. Then place straps on the garbage can and

Witch - make hat out of paper put Black fabric over it. And wear a dress- Not all witches are evil, no makeup, long hair
are good maybe a brown or black wig and a broom- Nice old fashioned one or a vaccum that

Little Red Riding Hood - Get a long red cape whith hood, a white blouse tucked

Black-eyed Pea - for halloween I bought a plain green T shirt and some fabric
and cut out a big P and stuck it on the shirt. I wore straight black pants and I took some

(very carefully) or hot glue, blown up white balloons all over your outfit. Put your hear
in a shower cap, hold a scrub brush and maybe glue a rubber ducky on to one of the baloons
in the front. who wears shoes in the bath, not me. But maybe you can wear a pair of white sandels

Vampire Bride - Get a long black dress. Cut into strips & put a little bit

Fruit Fly - start with a black shirt and pants. You will need a few pkgs
of those plastic fruits filled with powdered sugar {more is better!} eat the candy and
then sew all the plastic fruits to your shirt and a pair of deely-bobs for antenae and a
set of wings on your back....tada!! a fruitfly
Vampire - Get a black cape with red lining and a red inside, next would be some
artificial finger nails the long and sharp kind. I also would include some contacts
that look like u have a straight line for a eye pupil. I forgot that the finger nail

Grapes - This is a great costume for children or adults. First you get a
sweatsuit, your choice green or purple. You may already have one in your closet. Next buy a
large bag of matching balloons and a box of small safety pins. Blow balloons up , and pin
all over your suit. This step is easier ,after the suit is on. You may avoid your childs
backside if they will be sitting. Last step ,buy a sheet of felt in green and cut two
or more leaves,add green (curled) pipe cleaners. You can afix this to a head band, hair comb

Sunflower - First step ,Wear a green sweat suit . Second, buy a brown ski
mask and about 5 sheets of sunflower yellow felt. You can get these things at most
stores like (Walmart) or craft stores. Next you will need enough light
cardboard or cardstock paper to go with the felt. Cut your felt and cardboard into petals,
glue cardboard on the back of your felt.(note) Leave just enough felt at the bottom part
of your felt,that you can glue or sew them around your ski mask. Your a Sunflower....

Devil - Get something red like a red dress or even a red top with a red pair of
pants. Next get a cut out two triangles and stick them onto a head bank for horns.
To make a tail you can cut out a triangle and stick it to a red pipecleaner.
Wrap the end of the pipecleaner around a safetypin and ask a parent to pin it onto
the back of your pants of dress and then you are ready to go trick-o-treating.
Toy Zombie - last year I had a friend use this: Dress in a plain colored sweat
suit or gym suit, glue or tape or sew stuff like barbie heads, beanie babies, crayons,

Bumblebee - Go to a second hand store and find a yellow sweat shirt and black pants. Find a
black t-shirt or sweat shirt you can cut up. Then go home and cut black stripes out of the black sweatshirt.
Sew the strips onto the yellow sweat shirt. You can sew a little stinger on it too. Add Bumble bee wings (dollar stores
usually have this) and then make a hat or head band by taking pipe cleaners and glueing them on to the hat or headband.
Then dip cotton balls in yellow paint, let dry, then glue on the pipe cleaners. It turns out really cute.- sent in by Laurel
