PETER, PETER PUMPKIN CAKE

Make a yellow cake in two round cake pans, using a mix or homemade recipe. Cool.

Prepare a white frosting (bought or homemade). Reserve 1/2 cup frosting and tint with green food coloring. Tint remaining frosting orange, using 1/4 teaspoon each red and yellow food coloring. Fill and frost cake; frost sides and top with more frosting to make pumpkin shape. Make grooves of pumpkin with spatula. Use half a banana, frosted with green frosting, for stem. Anchor in the center of cake using toothpicks.
