Bake a layer cake mix or one from stratch in oblong pan, 13x9x2. Remove from pan and cool.

On cake, mark off a square, 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches; cut an egg-shaped piece from square as shown in diagram below. Place rectangular piece of cake, 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches, on large platter for "wall". Place egg-shaped piece of cake directly above "wall".

Frost "wall" with chocolate frosting. Using a icing cone or knife, draw lines with vanilla frosting to resemble a brick wall. Frost egg-shaped piece with remaining vanilla frosting, rounding corners to resemble an egg. Use almonds for eyes, red shoe-string licorice for arms, legs, and mouth, two shelled Brazil nuts for feet and a miniature marshmallow for a nose. With knife or decorating cone, outline a crack across top of egg with 1 tablespoon chocolate frosting.
