Dinosaur Stencils

Submit your dinosaur ideas!!

Click on the thumbnails to go to the printable stencils.

Ideas for using the stencils:

  1. Let students use stencils to draw dinosaurs and make a scene around them.
  2. Place a white sheet of paper over stencil and rub with crayon or pencil to make a drawing.
  3. Use the stencils to trace the dinosaurs, then brush thinned glue onto picture and place tissue paper squares atop the glue. These make cute craft projects.
  4. After using stencils to make dinosaurs, cut out dinosaur and cut into pieces for puzzles for students to put together.
  5. Trace dinosaur stencil on poster board and then glue different macaroni and beans onto the form.
  6. Using a dark blue or black sheet of construction paper, trace dinosaur stencil onto paper with chalk. Spray with hairspray to set---then use styrofoam peanuts to build the dinosaur's skeleton. Use can also use dark paper and cooked spaghetti to make the skeleton.
  7. Make the stencils sturdier by tracing them onto three pound coffee can lids.
