100 New Poems for Children
By Josie Whitehead
Readers may well like to know of a new poetry website which contains 104 new, original poems by children's writer, Josie Whitehead from Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
The poems are often fun story poems for children and are written with a strong rhyme and rhythm, something which seems to have gone out of fashion in recent years, but which children love.
The children will meet the fun characters such as Mickledy-Me (the invisible friend); the Woggaldy Woo, who lives in Peru, The Great Ragando the Magician who does one trick too many; the Fairies of Janet's Foss; the little dog who always travels First Class All the Way; Fuffi the cat who makes a big mistake when she catches a goldfish; the horse who had a wooden heart; the Angel Child (who adopted Josie); Drac the Dragon; Mabel the Witch; the little creatures who live at Beasts-R-You, and many many other interesting characters to amuse them.
The website only came into existence 9 weeks ago, but already has been accessed by 2500 visitors, which proves that poetry is still popular, thank goodness.
