Robert

Rob and I were married April 9,2005. We live in Biloxi, Ms in August of 2005 Katrina hit. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. Our car wouldn't run. Rob found a way for us to leave and after we found our house was completely leveled (we were renting) he found a way to get us to Mobile, Al to get us on the cruise ship. When I was taken to the hospital and they tried to induce labor he was right there with me. When they had to do a c-section he held my hand. Then he fought with FEMA to get us off the cruise ship and into a FEMA trailer before the holidays. When I got pregnant again and had complications Rob was right by my side. When my daughter was born prematurely at 25 weeks and 1lb 3ozs and I had a seizure during the c-section and was having problems he stayed right with me and my daughters no matter what. He gave up his job in Biloxi to get a temporary one in Mobile so we could stay close to the NICU that my daughter was in. He then came back to Biloxi to get his job back when it was almost time for my daughter to come home after 16 weeks in the hospital. He then proceded to fight with FEMA again because there is dangerous mold in the mobile home. And he is fighting against all odds to get us a home where the girls can grow up healthy and happy. He is the best husband and father a person could ask for.
